Regional Partnership and Coordination Manager

Background
The Indonesia Inclusive Workforce Development Partnerships (IWDP) Initiative is a five-year, $22.8 million, USAID-funded program that will promote more inclusive economic growth by improving access to workforce and entrepreneurial skills for poor and vulnerable youth. The IWDP team will provide USAID project implementers and workforce stakeholders with technical support, connections, and platforms to help build a more robust and responsive workforce development ecosystem. In addition to management support, capacity building, and coordination, DAI’s technical assistance will include identifying, piloting, and scaling new workforce development approaches and innovations. The ultimate goal of USAID’s inclusive workforce development work is to connect 200,000 poor and vulnerable young Indonesians with learning and livelihood opportunities.
Objectives and Duties
The Regional Partnership and Coordination Manager will be based in Jakarta and work with IWDP Initiative, grantee and USAID-funded Cooperative Agreement Project Implementer staff to ensure activities complement and build off of one another, partnership opportunities are identified, and provision of technical assistance is relevant and timely. S/he will contribute to the development of high-quality program activities and establishment of constructive partnerships.
Essential Duties
  • Facilitate coordination among IWDP Initiative grantees and USAID-funded Cooperative Agreement Project Implementers at local and national levels
  • Identify and establish partnerships at local and national levels, including with private sector interests, other donor-funded programs, donors and government agencies
  • Identify and develop opportunities for provision of technical assistance to IWDP Initiative grantees and USAID-funded Cooperative Agreement Project Implementers
  • Oversee communication and collaboration between IWDP Initiative Provincial Partnership Coordinators and Jakarta-based technical, grants, M&E, communications, and knowledge management staff
  • Participate in regular discussions regarding management issues and M&E data to ensure informed and adaptive programming
  • Design, facilitate and/or conduct training and workshop activities, as necessary
  • Contribute to drafting and submission of IWDP Initiative reports including success stories, periodic progress reports and other project materials
  • Provincial Partnership Coordinators
  • Other duties as assigned by the Chief of Party
Qualifications
  • At least 10 years of progressive professional experience and demonstrated communications experience in public relations, advocacy or related field
  • Proven ability to work with local and national level government officials, private sector interests and civil society organizations.
  • Masters or Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing international development assistance programming
  • Exceptional communication and inter-personal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and to work effectively with various stakeholders
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Regional Partnership and Coordination Manager will supervise the Provincial Partnership Coordinator from 6 provinces

REPORTING:
The Regional Partnership and Coordination Manager will report directly to the Chief of Party.
