DAI International - IWDP Initiative Job Vacancy: Regional Partnership and Coordination Manager, Jakarta - Indonesian

Inclusive Workforce Development Partnerships (IWDP) Initiative
Regional Partnership and Coordination Manager

Background
The Indonesia Inclusive Workforce Development Partnerships (IWDP) Initiative is a five-year, $22.8 million, USAID-funded program that will promote more inclusive economic growth by improving access to workforce and entrepreneurial skills for poor and vulnerable youth. The IWDP team will provide USAID project implementers and workforce stakeholders with technical support, connections, and platforms to help build a more robust and responsive workforce development ecosystem. In addition to management support, capacity building, and coordination, DAI’s technical assistance will include identifying, piloting, and scaling new workforce development approaches and innovations. The ultimate goal of USAID’s inclusive workforce development work is to connect 200,000 poor and vulnerable young Indonesians with learning and livelihood opportunities.
Objectives and Duties
The Regional Partnership and Coordination Manager will be based in Jakarta and work with IWDP Initiative, grantee and USAID-funded Cooperative Agreement Project Implementer staff to ensure activities complement and build off of one another, partnership opportunities are identified, and provision of technical assistance is relevant and timely. S/he will contribute to the development of high-quality program activities and establishment of constructive partnerships.
Essential Duties
  • Facilitate coordination among IWDP Initiative grantees and USAID-funded Cooperative Agreement Project Implementers at local and national levels
  • Identify and establish partnerships at local and national levels, including with private sector interests, other donor-funded programs, donors and government agencies
  • Identify and develop opportunities for provision of technical assistance to IWDP Initiative grantees and USAID-funded Cooperative Agreement Project Implementers
  • Oversee communication and collaboration between IWDP Initiative Provincial Partnership Coordinators and Jakarta-based technical, grants, M&E, communications, and knowledge management staff
  • Participate in regular discussions regarding management issues and M&E data to ensure informed and adaptive programming
  • Design, facilitate and/or conduct training and workshop activities, as necessary
  • Contribute to drafting and submission of IWDP Initiative reports including success stories, periodic progress reports and other project materials
  • Provincial Partnership Coordinators
  • Other duties as assigned by the Chief of Party
Qualifications
  • At least 10 years of progressive professional experience and demonstrated communications experience in public relations, advocacy or related field
  • Proven ability to work with local and national level government officials, private sector interests and civil society organizations.
  • Masters or Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing international development assistance programming
  • Exceptional communication and inter-personal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and to work effectively with various stakeholders
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia

The Partnership for Governance Reform in Indonesia (Kemitraan) is a multi-stakeholder organization promoting and advancing governance reform to achieve fair, democratic and sustainable welfare of the people. It expresses Indonesian ownership, and offers a platform that brings together the Indonesian Government, Legislature, Judiciary, Civil Society, Corporate Sector and the International Community supporting, engaged or investing in Indonesia.

Currently Kemitraan is embarking on a new project to support stakeholder engagement and technical assistance to finalize Indonesia’s REDD+ architecture, in particular its financing instrument. To complete our team we have an immediate vacancy for a high caliber Indonesian to fill the position of PROJECT COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

Duties and Responsibilities
Works in a small team of Project Advisors to coordinate communications at different levels of the project, and reports to the Senior Advisor and the Executive Director (ED). The project entails close collaboration with the Indonesian Ministry of Forestry and Environment (KLHK). Specific responsibilities include:
  • Supports the development of project Communications and Consultations strategy
  • Contribute to and ensure publication of project communication outputs (newsletters/ website/pamphlets/infographics)
  • In consultation with project advisors, arrange media gathering or press conference and prepare press releases
  • Attend selected project meetings
  • Support project events organizing
  • Attend and take minutes of project team meetings
  • Coordinate and keep overview of project consultations meeting reports
  • Contribute to and coordinate preparation of project reports to donor(s)
  • Support registering project outputs in Kemitraan’s tracking system
Qualifications Required
  • Experience with developing communications for different target audiences
  • Experience in media relations and print and electronic publishing
  • Knowledge of / interest in climate change and environmental issues in Indonesia and beyond 
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills
  • Ability to initiate and organize work, to establish priorities in a time-sensitive environment and meet deadlines with attention to detail and quality
  • Proficient in English
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferable Master’s Degree) or equivalent in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, International Relations or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years relevant professional experience, preferably in the field of journalism or public relations related to governance issues
Compensation terms offered for this post are competitive, and will be commensurate with the skills and experience of the selected candidate.

Nuffic Neso Indonesia (Neso) has expanded significantly in recent years. As well as promoting Study in Holland and providing customised services for Dutch Higher Education Institutions, Neso implements the strategic bilateral scholarship programme StuNed. It also contributes to the harmonisation of higher education through the SHARE scholarship programme. Furthermore, Neso manages a tailor-made capacity building programme in integrated urban water management, the Dutch Training and Exposure Program (DUTEP) Rotterdam – Jakarta, with co-funding from government and private sector sources. Triple-helix cooperation is further encouraged through Living Labs in the fields of Water, Logistics and Maritime and the placement of Dutch interns in local or international companies based in Indonesia. Nuffic Neso Indonesia monitors the Netherlands Initiative for Capacity Building in Higher Education (NICHE) projects in Indonesia and is developing new capacity building modalities, especially to enhance the relevance and quality of vocational education and training.
Currently, the main activities of Nuffic Neso Indonesia are:

What will you be doing?
  • Expanding and intensifying relations in Indonesia with the government, in education and with the (Dutch) business society for identification of project opportunities
  • Providing business development advice and support, including desk research, preparing project proposals and contracts in coordination with EP-Nuffic
  • Basic monitoring of program finances and preparing quotations and budgets
  • Designing and facilitating of training programs and workshops, as well as delivering presentations to government or companies
  • Strategic development and promotion of Nuffic Neso Indonesia’s capacity building activities
  • Monitor NICHE projects and engage with project partners to build synergies with other activities of Nuffic/Neso and priority government or top economic sectors
  • Planning, coordination, evaluation and reporting for dynamic programs such as DUTEP and the activities of Living Lab
  • Realizing co-funding arrangements with corporate and government partners in general and for the StuNed scholarship programme in particular
You will report directly to the Director of Nuffic Neso Indonesia regarding activities and results and you will work closely with the other colleagues in Jakarta, The Hague and possibly other relevant countries.

Save the Children in Indonesia is changing for the better.  We've begun to build a national organisation that aims to be a strong, local, and self-sustaining voice for children in Indonesia namely Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik Tunas Cilik.  To this end, Yayasan has been designated as a “Prospect Member of Save the Children” which focuses on strengthening and localizing our voice for children in strategic middle income countries. Currently Save the Children’s programs in Indonesia is implemented by Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik. We work in eleven provinces, have staff of approximately 300 local professionals, and programming in Child Protection, Education, Health and Nutrition, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Humanitarian Response.

ROLE PURPOSE:
Reporting to the F2F Manager and working across the organisation.
F2F Training Development Coordinator, in his/her capacity is responsible to deliver a highly ambitious market entry strategy focusing on building unrestricted income from the individuals
Key elements of the strategy will include:
  • Promote Save the Children campaign goals and objectives
  • Maintain a diverse and secure funding base from regular monthly donors
  • Recruit committed donors using face to face technique
  • Expansion of face to face program across Indonesia and test F2F approach with other method

CASH ACCOUNTANT (Job Code: CA - MKS)

Based in Makassar, South Sulawesi
The Cash Accountant take responsibility as a cashier is in charges to prepare payment through petty cash and Bank in order to daily activities and input transaction into MYCASH in the finance Unit Regional Sulawesi Office related to GP-SCPP Project.
Task, Authority, and Responsibility
Spesific Tasks:
  • Received all payment request to staff and third party in Regional Office in South Sulawesi
  • Checking all payment request  in term of approval, arithmetical and properly coding to respective budget
  • Ensure all vouchers are adequate supporting documents and following SOP Swisscontact in general and in specific Program such as travel policy, cash management, and procurement standard are in place in cooperation with the RFO.
  • If point # b and # c unsatisfied Cash Accountant then return document  to the Requester
  • Prepare all payment by petty cash maximum IDR 5 million and bank transfer for payment above IDR 5 million.
  • Ensure payment administration in place and in timely manner after payment request signed by the RPM and RFO
  • Ensure petty cash fund is sufficient every time to tackle immediate payment
  • Conduct petty cash count with RFO weekly basis
  • Ensure payment information delivered by email to the respective staff
  • Entry Entire payments into MYCASH system after payment done according to correct code of account before handed to RFO
  • Filing all payment vouchers in Regional  Office South Sulawesi  in coordination with RFO
  • Assist RFO to control outstanding cash advance in Regional  Office South Sulawesi , especially the old outstanding CA (beyond one month and communicate with cash advance holder)
  • Other tasks arise during the course in needed upon requested by the RFO
Key Performance Indicator
  • Properly  Payment in Regional  Office South Sulawesi  to staffs and third party according to SOP
  • Ensure petty cash fund is sufficient every time according to SOP
  • Meticulous calculation and properly charging in accordance to budget
  • Assist RFO  to control CA vs liquidation in Regional Office South Sulawesi
  • Foster good relationship with Bank to gain the best banking services Support
Employee Requirements
  • University degree in Accountancy
  • Minimum of two years experiences in the relevant field
  • Previous working with one of NGO’s
  • Understanding of opportunities and constraints for sustainable development
  • Strong sense of responsibility and control
  • Good interpersonal skills and commitment working in a team
  • Skills in computer, software systems (windows, spreadsheet, word processing, e-mail , internet)
  • Excellent English skills written and verbal is preferred.
