Position: Project Advisor
Reports to: Project Manager
Location: Kolaka region, South-east Sulawesi
Key Relationships: Management Team (including Financial and Admin Team), Project Field Staff
Duration and Working Hours: April to December 2017, Full time
Effective Date: Soon as Possible
Overall Purpose of the Position
The main objective of this assignment is to bridge between Samdhana Bogor office with its implementing partner in Kolaka; to ensure that the project is implemented in accordance to Samdhana’s vision, the project’s goal and approach, and MCA Indonesia requirement.
To achieve the objective, the incumbent will conduct the following, but not limited to:
- Stay in the site during the course of the project and travel to provincial and national level as needed
- Provide day-to-day support to the project implementer at the field to ensure that the project implementation meets the milestones and outputs as stated in the proposal
- Work with other field staff to conduct monitoring and evaluation
- Report to project manager in Bogor on weekly basis on project progress and things to be followed up
- Work with other field staff to ensure that they can achieve their outputs at the most effective and efficient way
- Actively seek and liaise with other local parties to promote project’s sustainability beyond project’s time frame
- Participate in training/discussion/meeting/
workshop held by the donor (MCA Indonesia) / GPM (EMM) as requested by project manager - Present the work in related workshop held by Samdhana or the GPM and donor as requested by project manager
Output
The Staff is expected to produce report on project monitoring and evaluation and publication material as required during the course of the project – and other form of project documentation as requested by the Project Manager.
Qualifications
- Minimum S1 degree in agriculture / forestry / social science
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management (including monitoring and evaluation), development activities (e.g. community organizing activities), or any other relevant project’s field management
- Knowledgeable on some of the followings: community based natural resources management, agriculture-related activities, environmental and social management framework and gender in development activities, knowledge management
- Strong interpersonal skills required for working with project staff and beneficiaries
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure with limited guidance
- Excellent communication skills are essential to write effectively and persuasively and able to present information in a variety of settings and formats
- Able to stay in Kolaka, South-east Sulawesi
- Fluency in English
