WWF International Job Vacancy: SESS MPA and MPA Network Coordinator, Kendari - Southeast Sulawesi

WWF-IDN is currently seeking for the best candidate for the position of SESS MPA and MPA Network Coordinator, Kendari.

This position will be based in Kendari and report to Southern and East Sulawesi Project Leader. The job holder will be responsible to all programs and activities that include, but not limited to, KKPD  Southeast Sulawesi, networking of conservation areas in SESS, Biodiversity and Monitoring in Wakatobi National Park. Furthermore, the job holder will provide support for internal technical cooperation with related units in order to achieve the project target in the region of Southeast Sulawesi. Structurally, SESS MPA and MPA Network Coordinator is under supervision of SESS Project Leader for both the project implementation and also the operation. Thus, he/she will also be responsible to develop policy-based research, provide model and/or conservation expertise for the marine project, especially related to managing marine areas conservation, monitoring biodiversity, fisheries management in accordance to conservation strategies of WWF-Indonesia, in order to contribute to the project implementation to ensure the nature conservation in Southern and Eastern Sulawesi Subseascape.

Requirements for This Position are:
  • Minimum of bachelor degree from Marine, Fisheries, Biology, Conservation Management
  • Minimum of 5 years of experiences in research program, and monitoring marine biology, managing marine conservation, and networking with educational and research institutions.
