Key Purpose of the Job

The Drone Team Member will assist the Biophysical Data & MER Manager to collect 2D and 3D detailed information about the spatial landscape, contour, land use maps, and the potential social problems around the project location which could not be detected by other tools.

This position is part of the UKCCU/NICFI Project staffing in South Sumatra.

The UKCCU/NICFI Project works with the Government of South Sumatra, national and district level governments, communities and the private sector to to facilitate and support the government, private sector and local communities, to establish and pilot the sustainable landscape management partnership approach in the Sembilang-Dangku landscape of South Sumatra. The proposed impact of this project is to achieve “Inclusive economic growth and community prosperity, biodiversity conservation, forest protection and restoration, and the ending of deforestation, peatland drainage and wildfires that reduces land-based GHG emissions”.

Main Responsibilities

• Monitor and mapping the terrestrial ecosystem
• Produce 2D photo and 3D digital survey models of surveyed area
• Maintain the storage of all data (photos and videos) and ensure the updated data
• Survey the biodiversity status (species and plants counting and identification)
• Perform any other duties as required.

The position will require close attention to detail in all aspect of the project and therefore concentration on the work in hand – precision and accuracy being vital attributes.

PENDAHULUAN

Indonesia pada saat ini menghadapi tantangan yang berat didalam sektor manajemen resiko. Jumlah bencana di tahun 2016 yang lalu  saja telah meningkat menjadi 35 % bila dibandingkan pada tahun 2015. Pada tahun 2016 ada sekitar 2342 bencana telah terjadi sedangkan di tahun 2015 hanya sekitar 1732 kasus, 2014 (1967), 2013 (1674), 2012 ( 1811. Dari 2342 bencana itu , 92 % adalah Bencana Hydrometeorik seperti banjir bandang, (766 kasus), tanah longsor (612 kasus), angin topan kecil (669), kombinasi banjir dan tanah longsor ( 612), pasang (23), kebakaran hutan dan lahan (178), dan bencana signifikan lainnya seperti gempa bumi (13), erupsi gunung merapi (7).

Bencana 2016 telah menyebabkan 522 korban meninggal 3,05 juta terkena dampak dan kehilangan tempat tinggal, 69287  rumah dengan kerusakan parah sekitar 9171 dan 13077 rusak sedang. Sedangkan 2311 fasilitas  umum juga ikut rusak atau terkena dampak. Pada penghujung tahun 2016, dua bencana berskala medium menghantam Indonesia pada saat yang bersamaan: Gempa bumi di Pidie Jaya – Aceh (7 Desember 2016) meneyebabkan kematian 104  warga dan kerugian materil diperikirakan sekitar 2, 94 Triliun rupiah (USD 235 Miliar), sedangkan banjir bandang di Kota Bima memberikan dampak pada 105753 warga di 33 kota kecil  di lima kecamatan. 4 orang meninggal dunia, hampir 100 rumah mengalami rusak berat. Kerugian ekonomi diperediksikan sebanyak 1 triliun rupiah atau (USD 80 miliar).

Untuk memberikan bantuan untuk phase pemulihan terhadap masyarakat yang terkena dampak bencana, Islamic Relief Indonesia berencana  membuat program “ Distribusi Paket Makanan  untuk Menyambut Bulan Ramadan”   di Kota Bima dan Pidie Jaya  seminggu sebelum bulan puasa Ramadan tahun ini untuk memberikan dukungan  ketahanan pangan bagi penerima bantuan.

Untuk menjaring beneficiaries atau penerima bantuan/ manfaat dalam program ini,  Islamic Relief mencari Konsultan yang mampu   membangun platform system  informasi  terintegrasi berbasis handphone dan website dengan aplikasi mobile dengan   ketentuan di bawah ini.

MAKSUD

Membangun sebuah platform system informasi yang berbasis Android dan website yang terintegrasi dan bersifat “end to end solution” (Solusi Tuntas) dengan spesifikasi:

• Dapat menampilkan analisis deskriptif dari data yang dikumpulkan dalam hand phone android ke  dalam bentuk graphic di dalam tampilan Dashboard website dengan jumlah graphic minimal 46  buah;
• Dapat Menampilkan  Analisis kebutuhan penerima manfaat  berdasarkan kebutuhan minimum yang ada di dalam buku “SPHERE’ Standard
• Dapat menampilkan  database  (raw data) penerima manfaat yang berisi profil, photo-photo dan GPS, yang selanjutnya dapat disimpan dalam bentuk file Excel, CSV, dan copy to clipboard.
• Dapat menampilkan legenda pada setiap ‘node’ lokasi peta penerima manfaat dengan berbagai macam informasi (nama, jumlah anggota KK, status kemiskinan, photo rumah, dst.)
• Dapat memproduksi kupon penerima manfaat yang berisi informasi dasar penerima manfaat beserta photo secara otomatis di dalam website.
• Dapat  mengupload logo organisasi ke dalam keluaran print out kupon penerima manfaat
• Dapat memproduksi daftar ‘master list distribution’ secara otomatis
• Dapat melakukan editing data dan informasi penerima manfaat  secara langsung di dalam gadget android, selain dapat melakukan editing di dalam website
• Dapat melakukan perekaman proses distribusi pemberian bantuan secara otomotis dengan melakukan pemindaian terhadap QR code yang ada di dalam kupon penerima manfaat

Overview

WRI Indonesia is seeking a UX designer with demonstrated professional and research experience working with public education, socio-economic and environmental data, crowdsourcing, and web-map development, for its Forest, Climate and Energy programs. The position is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The UX designer will be working with WRI Indonesia’s team on the development of key initiatives for the above programs such as:

Peatland Restoration Monitoring Platform:

A virtual platform with capabilities on geospatial visualization of ongoing restoration area to monitor progress and future restoration opportunity, and also fire alert feature. In addition, on top of these technical features, this monitoring platform needs to showcase political pledges on restoration and on environment issues by national and sub-national leaders. The platform will need to have capability to monitor the implementation progress of those pledges, commitments, and promises to encourage openness and wider public participation.

Sustainable Energy One Map:

Aims to increase accessibility to data and analysis, especially spatial analysis related to clean energy development in Indonesia. In its process, SEOM is developed together with Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. SEOM shall include a portal where user, government and non-government, can contribute and access clean energy-related data and analyses.

One Map Initiatives:

A versatile online platform where One Map stakeholders could submit, revise, claim, verify and manipulate geospatial information using a single, secured, cloud-based database. The platform should be user-friendly and equipped with analytical tools (i.e drawing, highlighting, typing, overlaying, etc) to resolve spatial problems overlapped and different scaled spatial data (i.e concessions, forest boundaries, land cover, satellite image, fire hotspot, deforestation, etc).

National Forest Monitoring System:

Online platform that lays out updated time series land cover change, from which deforestation, forest degradation and drivers of forest cover change can be analyzed. The improvement of the platform is useful to improve transparency, usability and capability of the NFMS in reporting forest cover change information, which in turn will contribute to more accurate national GHG reporting.

Land Use Accountability:

A web based GIS platform to perform accountability and traceability analysis on particular smallholder block, based on the National Smallholder Database System which enables small holder data storage, manipulation, and retrieval by authorized smallholder consortium member and National Database System at the Ministry of Agriculture.

Responsibilities

The selected UX Designer will assist the project manager(s) in:

• Streamline the concept and design of WRI Indonesia’s platforms
• Sketch out visual concepts both on paper and using software applications to design front-end experiences and interaction design for potential users
• Work on cross-platform applications to develop user experiences covering mobile phones, tablets and computers
• Re-design websites to make them more responsive, with those aimed at the general public from both government and  commercial service industries
• Design a mobile apps that are easy to use and are configured appropriately for smartphones and tablets
• Ensure that an end-product design meets the core project objectives required by WRI while providing users with the  optimum experience in terms of efficiency, effectiveness and engagement
• Joining meetings and presenting work result whenever needed.
• Producing technical documents relevant to the projects.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree with at least 3-year work experience in visual and web design or other related fields.

General Qualifications:

• Expertise in UX software such as InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Framer.js, Quartz Composer, and the like is a must. Basic HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript skills are a plus
• Ability to work with clients to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision
• Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design
• Ability to iterate your design and solutions efficiently and intelligently
• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients
• A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated research experience working with environmental and energy-related data in spatial format

• Menjalankan dan menjaga keaktifan sistim informasi dan komunikasi IKa dalam berbagai bentuknya seperti website, IG, facebook, fanpage dan twitter
• Menyelenggarakan komunikasi dan informasi yang berkelanjutan dengan penyumbang, relawan, mitra, media serta pihak-pihak yang bekerjasama dengan IKa, melalui sarana komunikasi antara lain: e-bulletin, surat terima kasih, tatap muka rutin, cendera mata
• Atas persetujuan manajer informasi komunikasi, memproduksi kit informasi (booklet, brosur, poster, souvenir) sesuai kebutuhan IKa
• Melakukan input dan update data data penyumbang dan relawan 
• Membantu divisi penggalangan daya menyebarluaskan informasi mengenai event-event penggalangan dana IKa.
• Membuat anggaran dan rencana kerja divisi, perbulan, 3 bulan, 6 bulan dan tahunan
• Membuat laporan 6 bulanan dan 1 tahunan dan membantu manajer infokom mengkoordinasikan pembuatan laporan tahunan IKa untuk kepentingan publik

Kualifikasi

• Memiliki pengetahuan dan kemampuan bekerja dengan peralatan komunikasi berbasis teknologi 
• Memiliki motivasi dan kemampuan untuk bekerja dalam lingkungan dan tim kerja yang dinamis
• Memiliki kemampuan bahasa Inggris tingkat menengah
• Mampu bekerjasama dengan tim dan terbuka terhadap masukan
• Memiliki kemampuan multitasking

About the program 

Cardno Emerging Markets was awarded a design and implement contract for the Kemitraan Indonesia Australia untuk Infrastrucktur (Indonesia Australia Partnership for Infrastructure) (KIAT). The design is now complete and Cardno is currently in negotiations with DFAT for the implementation of the program. KIAT is a 10-year facility with an indicative budget of A$300m.

KIAT's overarching goal is to support 'Sustainable and inclusive economic growth through improved access to infrastructure for all people'. To support this goal, KIAT will work with GOI, DFAT, private sector, MDBs and other development partners, and civil society stakeholders to help achieve the following 'End-of-facility Outcomes' (EOFOs): 

• Improved GOI policy and regulatory framework for infrastructure development
• High quality projects prepared and financed by GOI, the private sector and / or MDBs
• High quality infrastructure delivery, management and maintenance by GOI 

As the prospective Managing Contractor of KIAT Program, Cardno is currently inviting applications for the position of ICT Officer. The ICT Officer will provide ICT support, development, maintenance and administrative service to users’ desktop workstations, network systems, and other IT duties as directed, ensure that all issues, responses and timings are recorded in appropriate IT database records, establish, maintain and manage a data backup system that includes timeframes, processes and appropriate storage. The IT Officer will also provide ongoing support and maintenance of the MIS system, providing troubleshooting services to staff and DFAT on its use.

Call for Expression of Interest - GWL - INA Network: A Web Developer to Develop the Designated Campaign Website, Indonesian

Call for Expression of Interest

GWL-INA Network, as the Sub Recipient Indonesia of the grant under the TestHKG2YKA will be implementing an HIV testing campaign which tentatively titled ‘TestYKA’. One of the campaign objectives is to develop a campaign website tailored to men who have sex with men (MSM) community needs and characteristics. In this regard, GWL-INA is seeking applications for a web developer to develop the designated campaign website.

Consultancy timeframe: March 6^th to 31^st, 2017

Up to 6 days web development works which will cover the following tasks:

• To develop a concept of the website based on needs;
• To align the website with the designated branding guidelines;
• To develop a mobile friendly website that also meets safety standards;
• To provide supporting features needed (e.g. pop-up surveys, google analytics, and other features required); and
• To provide training to the media team of GWL-INA on how to manage and maintenance the website contents.

Key Qualifications:

Education

Associate’s degree with coursework in Web Design, Computer Studies, Management Information Systems, or related field and a web site development or related certificate.

Experience

Direct and increasingly responsible experience in web site design and development. Strong web project coordination experience developing multiple sites simultaneously while working on high paced team with diverse clients; demonstrated experience solving issues of browser/device compatibility to create web pages that can be used on any type of server and viewed with any browser/device.
