The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is a regional-intergovernmental organisation founded in 1967, to promote peace and stability, sustain economic growth, shared prosperity and social progress. It comprises ten countries of Southeast Asia.

The ASEAN Leaders at their 19^th ASEAN Summit on 17 November 2011 officially launched the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on disaster management, popularly referred to as the AHA Centre. The AHA Centre will facilitate co-operation and coordination among ASEAN Member States, and with relevant United Nations and international organisations in promoting regional collaboration in disaster management.

The ASEAN ERAT Transformation Project, supported by Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF), project aims to strengthen ASEAN’s preparedness and response capacity in responding to natural disasters in a manner that is collective, fast, reliable and in line with humanitarian standards. Reporting to the Finance Coordinator of the AHA Centre, the Finance Assistant for ASEAN ERAT Transformation project will be responsible in providing support related the finance services to the Project team, including cash and bank transaction.

WWF International Job Vacancy: Fisheries Science Assistant, Jakarta - Indonesian

WWF-IDN is currently seeking for the best candidate for the position of Fisheries Science Assistant, Jakarta (Temporary).

This position will be based in Jakarta and report to Fisheries Science Officer. The job holder will be responsible to assist the Fisheries Science Officer and team in fisheries science work in Indonesia, including developing research design; collecting and managing the data; analyzing the data; and writing the scientific report based on the analyses.

WWF-Indonesia is looking for a competent person to fulfill this position with the main responsibilities are:

• Assist in analyzing data and developing scientific reports, factsheets and/or other forms of communication.
• Assist in carrying out fisheries science - related targeted research and literature review based on requests from Fisheries Research and Development and other programs.
• Provide technical and capacity building assistance for fisheries staff and partners.
• Communicate results/outcomes to partners, both technical and for less scientific audiences.
• Assist in the development and implementation of M&E system in fisheries science activities.

Requirements for this position are:

• A university degree in capture fisheries or fisheries resources management or marine science from a recognized and reputable university.
• Minimum 2 years working experience in the area of capture fisheries research.
• Good skills on statistical analysis and/or GIS are an advantage.
• Must have fluency in spoken and written English and Bahasa Indonesia, in particular the ability to draft documents and express views in a clear and concise manner.

Job Vacancy at the AHA Centre: Human Resources Assistant, Jakarta - Indonesian

The ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on disaster management (AHA Centre) is an inter-governmental organisation, which aims to facilitate cooperation and coordination among ASEAN Member States and with the United Nations and international organisations for disaster management and emergency response in the ASEAN region. The Centre was established by 10 ASEAN Member States, namely Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Viet Nam on 17 November 2011, through the signing of the Agreement on the Establishment of the AHA Centre in Bali, Indonesia. The Agreement was signed by ASEAN Foreign Ministers, witnessed by the ASEAN Heads of State/Government.

In view of the current workload and anticipating the increasing number of staff and consultants to be recruited by the AHA Centre in the near future, the organisation needs additional resource to support the Human Resources functions, specifically in handling a variety of personnel-related administrative duties.

Reporting to the Human Resources/Administration Officer of the AHA Centre, the HR Assistant will be responsible in performing administrative support functions on the day-to-day HR activities.
